We perform DNA analysis of bacterial pathogens. The aim of periodontitis treatment is to eliminate or significantly reduce the number of periodontal pathogenic bacteria in the oral cavity. The first step is the mechanical removal of the bacterial layer from the teeth using specialised instruments during professional dental hygiene.

How does DNA analysis work?

In some cases, bacteria may penetrate deep into the periodontal pocket and surrounding tissues. These microorganisms cannot be removed by regular mechanical cleaning alone. They remain in the periodontal pocket, multiply intensivelyand the inflammatory process may continue despite careful oral hygiene.

If particularly aggressive bacteria are detected, antibiotic therapy may be included as part of the treatment to help stop the progression of periodontitis. The sample collection itself is quick and completely painless.
