Healthy Teeth
Healthy and clean teeth have a significant impact on a person’s overall health and quality of life, as well as on how we are perceived by others.
Plaque – bacteria that accumulate in colonies on the teeth and soft tissues of the mouth – is the main cause of most inflammatory gum diseases and tooth decay. If plaque is not removed properly and in time, its toxic by-products can cause inflammation of the gums and damage to the enamel on the tooth crown. This process is often accompanied by unpleasant bad breath and can eventually lead to irreversible tooth loss.

Dentition
Dentition refers to the complete set of teeth in the oral cavity.
Based on the types of teeth present, dentition can be classified as homodont, in which all teeth are structurally similar, as in whales and dolphins, or heterodont, in which there are up to four distinct types of teeth, each with a specific shape and function. These are incisors, canines, premolars and molars.
