Porcelain Veneer

A veneer is a thin, laboratory-made covering made of ceramic or composite resin that is bonded to the front (vestibular) surface of a tooth. It is used primarily for aesthetic purposes – for example, if you are unhappy with the shape, position or colour of one or more teeth, or if you have gaps between your teeth and want to achieve an ideal-looking smile within a few days.

A veneer is permanently bonded to the tooth and cannot be removed without grinding it off. Among the different types of veneers, porcelain veneers offer excellent aesthetics combined with high mechanical durability.

In terms of both function and feel, a veneer is like a natural tooth and is virtually indistinguishable from it to the naked eye.
